When is enough going to be enough?

We need one if we want to compete in the post-season.

If automatica Gramatica can loose his job, what has to happen here?

I'm just hoping the front office has that on their list of things to address in the off-season. It might be difficult though- I'm not sure how many good kickers (if any) will be available.

not going to happen. I just don't see them doing it.

The question is, what kickers will be available? If all that we have to chose from is Martin Suckimatica and a 50 year old Gary Anderson, I hate to say it, but we should stick with the pork chop (lindell). I'm not a big fan of drafting kickers either. The problem is, in order to get a good kicker to kick in Buffalo, you'll have to pay him top kicking $$$'s. I say we just fire Lindell and go for 2 every time.

Because Lindell is just so dependable.

That is NOT funny.

Lindell did tie a Buffalo Bills record by making 11 straight FGs before today.

So, he missed a kick...all kickers miss kicks.

Last year he sucked but this year he has been doing a good job, imo.

Geesh- I guess our kicker has to be perfect too.

The last one he missed was into a 30 mph wind, about a month ago.

I think we need to be able to trust our kicker can win a close one for us, from longer than 25-30 yards out.

He did miss a chipshot today, but you are right, I will probably never be happy with any kicker that comes to Buffalo, don't know why, but it's true.

Sorry. I should've said "He missed an easy field goal". Not quite a chipshot, but still a FG that is made usually every time.

I for one can definately see a different kicker in here next year...but likely not this year unless Lindell totally blows 2 or more relatively makeable kicks in the next couple of games....

Bobby April will NOT bring Lindell back next year.

I would be happy to get Norwood back. That guy was a hell of a kicker. So he missed the big one....it could happen to anyone.....

He must be pretty damn old by now but I bet he would be better than Lindell.

Lindell can't even kickoff deep......where is the upside with this guy???

Norwood was even worse than Lindell kicking off. In 1991 we picked up Brad Daluiso just to kick off after 2 games. Marv Levy said "We Kicked off 15 times these past 2 games, and punted twice- so we need a kickoff specialist"

How many kickers in the NFL could have made that kick yesterday? My guess would be about 95%. And to make it even worse, the weather conditions in Miami we near perfect. Did anyone see the end of the Jacksonville game last night? Hell, their kicker almost won the game for them with a 60 yard field goal. I really hope Buffalo does something in the off season to upgrade the position.

Lindell could have made that kick. Thats the first kick he has missed this year from the 30-39yd range.

he is 8/8 from 20-29 yds and 5/6 from 30-39 yds. Even including last year he is 19/20 from 20-29yds and 8/9 from 30-39 yds. This year he is 1/3 from 40+ and one of those he never had a chance cause it was into a 30 mph wind so essentially he is 1/2 from 40+ only missing one. Give the guy a break he has had a good season.

The reason he is not missing that many FG is because MM has no faith in him and will never try a 40+, we need a kicker who can win a close one if we want to be able to go far in the post season.

Even the good kickers miss field goals. Look at Elam...

4-10-SD25 (8:34) J.Elam 43 yard field goal is No Good, Wide Left

Perfect no... dependable, YES.

Here's my issue with Lindell. the staff has no confidence in him.

this is why we punt or go for it instead of trying long FG's. Lindell has consistently proven he is a- not clutch and b- outright bad over 40 yards.

I have NO faith in him if we need to kick a 40+ yarder to win a game. Neither do the coaches in my mind. That's why he has to go.

OSU's Nugent if we have 2 2nd rounders has to be considered. there's a rumour he could even go late in the first, but if he's there in the 3rd. ABSOLUTELTY, and I wouldn't rule it out completely depending on what's there with the 2nd of our 2nds (if we do have 2)

If we can continually score 4 TDs a game, then his FGs are less important than in the barnburner 9-6 games. Bigger problem is the lack of a consistant deeper-threat on kickoffs. We cover well enough to make up the diff. Tired of seeing teams receive around their 10 or 15 though.

drafting him would be great
