Can someone answer this?

There's all this talk about the Bills ST returns. How 5 on the season puts us close to the record. But KC isn't mentioned.

Didn't Dante Hall return kicks for TDs in 4 straight games? Is that all KC ST did that year? How did they not have 6?

Does 3 KO returns put McGee in Dante Hall territory?

Not sure what you were asking... but that was all done last year...

While Hall was a great kick returner, their special teams werent overall spectacular. While we have kicks returned... we also have onside kicks and other spectacular special teams plays.

I am asking because of articles like this...

Kick returns (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20041208/1047217.asp)

Second last paragraph.

McGee is one of only 10 players to return three kickoffs for touchdowns in one season. The last was Atlanta's Derrick Vaughn in 2000. Green Bay's Travis Williams in 1967 and Chicago's Cecil Turner in 1970 share the record with four.

Did Hall only return punts?

Thanks, that was annoying me.

Ahh, the hype had to do with the 4 straight games.

I thought he and KC had more. KC Def became the chic Fantasy Football pick up because of their ST. And they only had 4 compared to the Bills 5! Ha!

Some of the records McGee & Bills ST are approaching (or have broken):

The Bills, meanwhile, have already tied an NFL mark with five returns for touchdowns in a season. Nate Clements and Jonathan Smith have returned punts for touchdowns. The other teams with five were the 1951 Giants (four punts, one kickoff), 1952 Steelers (three punts, two kickoffs), and 1959 Cardinals (five punts).
It was also McGee's third return for a TD this season, also a club mark. He needs one more to tie the NFL record of four held by Green Bay's Travis Williams (1967) and Chicago's Cecil Turner (1970).
It marked the first time a player, for or against, returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in a Bills game and it was the longest ever against Miami.
With 1,103 return yards, McGee is just 178 from breaking Charlie Rogers' team mark of 1,280 set in 2002, and he has four games remaining to do it.
His 26.90 per-return average is third overall, trailing only Wallace Francis (29.87 in 1973) and Mike Mosley (27.06 in 1982). Entire Article (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041208/SPORTS03/412080343/1007/SPORTS)

FINALLY. After all these years, I think we finally have an undisputed kick returner in McGee.

Yet we had Antonio Brown returning them last year. Another mistake by manboobs. :cynic:
