All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Charlie Weis was hired Sunday night to
coach football at Notre Dame, the school the New England Patriots'
offensive coordinator graduated from and where this season's 6-5
record led to the firing of Tyrone Willingham.
Its official. He is gonna be introduced monday.
Its a 6 year $12 Million deal.
We get to keep Clements and the patriots loose a key peice to their success.
I think contractually he's obligated- they probably would not allow him to even interview if that was the understanding.
Unlike inteviewing for NFL coach jobs, the NFL has no control over coaches interviewing in colleges so they do not need to 'let' him interview but most assistant coaches would only do so when their job allowed it. They could go after him for breaking contract IF he were to leave in mid-season IF his contract (remember most coaches have agents too) does not have a clause preventing from penalizing him.
i wonder if this will be enough of a change. Somehow the Pats put all the pieces together over the past few years. It hurts me to admit that they really are that good.

good news for the Irish and the Bills!!
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
I am sure they have some offensive assistants on that staff that learned from Weis over the years and can take over and do a good job. However, losing Weis will hurt more than losing Romeo Cremmel since BB is a defensive guru and not offensive and Weis is very respected. It will be interesting to see what happens to the offense next year.
