Word is that if Bills DT Pat Williams, an unrestricted free agent after
this season, has his way, he'll re-sign with Buffalo. Unless he's blown away
by a top-dollar offer elsewhere, Williams, who lives in Orchard Park, N.Y., owns a car-detail shop in the area, is playing alongside his good friend Sam Adams and whose charitable foundation is based in Buffalo, would give a home-team discount if the Bills' offer is a fair one.
I really hope we are able to keep both Williams and Jennings. This is great news cause the more of a discount Williams take the better chance we have a bringing jennings back.

We need to keep the Pat-Sam duo together for as long as possible! They've proven to be INT machines (as far as DTs go)

What does PigPat bring to the D that another huge DT can't?
Shaun Rogers is younger & more of a pass rusher but imo he will command big money. Does our D-line get weaker at stopping the run with Ron Edwards in instead of Pat?

Arguably yes, though I think Edwards has really improved over the past few years and can be a quality starter. I guess I just like Big Pat and just as oon keep him around if the price does not get out of hand.

Caution: Note the date on the original post.
This just goes to show that when players say they will take a "hometown discount" it is influenced but what they think is a discount. To them "discount" may mean above market price.
