WGR is reporting that in the Kansas City game Drew Bledsoe changed some plays at the line from runs to passes because the Chiefs brought a safety up near the line of scrimmage. In retrospect, not a smart move!

It's not unusual for a veteran QB to audible at the line of scrimmage. However, if the audibles fail then there is definite issue that needs to be attended to. I think that defensive coordinators have been taking pages out of Belichicks book. They have been masking secondary schemes, forcing Drew to change the play at the line of scrimmage. They are making mismatches appear prior to the snap, but as soon as the snap is made that mismatch dissapates.

Do you honestly think Williams will question Drew's Audibles? gimmie a break, as far as hes concerned Drew is doing the right thing even if its not working!

They have a safety close to the line on every red zone play.

All that I'm saying is that it's possible that the pre-designed audible plays are possibly too predicatable. If they are failing then it needs to be addressed.
