All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

I hate it when opponents give us credit. I'd much rather them say we suck or we are over-rated. It fuels our players much more...like when Cleveland ripped on Takeo in the preseason.
There are are two things occurring here. First, like FL and Mahdi said- it's mind games. I'm sure they have respect for our D, but they're not going to give them the proverbial bulletin-board fodder. They saw when happened when the Browns dissed Spikes last week....
Second, it's a little "CYA", as in "cover your ass". If our D unloads on them like they did on Cleveland, Miami and Seattle, at least they'll be able to respond to the media criticism with "hey, I told you guys last week that they were damn good- you try playing against the league's best D" There's no real shame in being beaten by the best, and by calling us the best, they're giving themselves an out.

Especially coming from Bill Belichick... I think he beefs us up to make his team really really mad and they come out like a rabid dogs.

This defense is a ****ing monster.
I can understand if nobody wants to acknowledge that we had one of the most impressive performances by a defense ever because of the opponent. I thought it was pretty damn impressive and a sign of things to come. No way do we let big Pat get away.

What did the browns say about spikes? i must have missed it...
Before the season started, the Bills and Browns scrimmaged at Fisher, and one of the Browns players was talking about how Spikes got beat during the scrimmage. Pure motivation.
Although I think that the Bengals are trying to play mind games, I still think we have the best defense in the league, and especially like you said, having Vincent in at FS.
