It sure is a good thing that he didn't hyperextend his bum knee! But he will be OK, may miss the SF game for precautionary reasons only. I do think that would be the smart thing to do considering the risks he plays with every week. Besides, I feel that Shaud can do the job.

But didn't he hurt the right ACL in high school?

WM has had an injury to the other knee in the past, but once it's healed, the injured knee isn't anymore "re-injury prone" than it was pre-injury.

I dont think Willis shreaded the knee in HS, like he did in college.

Right, he didn't completely tear all 3 major ligaments in HS. It was just a slight tear to the ACL, the one in college was a complete sever or all 3 major ligaments in the knee, Anterior Cruciate, Lateral Collateral, and Medial Collateral. He had to have emergency surgery or else he might have lost the leg cause of the lack of blood flow to the bone. It was pretty severe 2 years ago.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. The media reports this morning all said it was his left knee.

Willis is day to day but will probably miss 49ers game with a Hyperextension and bone bruise.

No. I don't see a link to it on the site. I hate when they do that crap.

Couldn't be a better game to miss.. Our entire 2nd string would be able to hang with that awful ballclub...

Right.. Might as well hold him out until the Steelers game then he can go over 1000 yards and rack up over 100 yds against Pitts. at home.
