    Classic "Trap" Game...

TheBrownBear can sense danger. The warning signs are all around. The Bills will lose in San Francisco tomorrow. The Bills offense has sucked for the last two weeks with "The Tin Man" reverting to his typical form. Now without a running game the Bills will be lucky to put up 10 points. Keep in mind that this is a road game and the Bills will be looking ahead to Pitt at home, as well. I'm calling it right now.

Your joking right? The classic "trap" game is when a mediocare team is playing a hott team ... not one of the hottest teams in football is playing one of the worst teams of the past decade (who if they lose are guaranteed the #1 draft pick).

Just think about it objectively for a moment. No McGahee + No TE's = No running game. If the Bills don't continue to get their D and ST scores then this game will be in the hands of Drew Bledsoe. Since he has reverted to his old ways, I don't like our chances.

Honestly, it's possible. Dolphins-pats? Plus, we are going to have to rely on bledsoe more...not saying it's likely, but it happens in the NFL sometimes...

I say even if our offense doesn't do very well, the 49ers passing D won't be able to support it's decent run D enough and we'll easily put up 17 point on offense, and I also think our defense picks Dorsey 4 times with the pressure we'll put on him. 6 to 7 turnovers tops for our defense. Defense is going to lead to another 17 points, so I don't see the 49ers matching our 34 points.

The 49ers Defense is missing 5 starters ... grow up people.

              Miami beat San Fran.

and.... Miami beat the Super Bowl Champion Pats. This is the NFL where anything can happen, one game at a time.

Is it possible? Sure. Likely? No way.

The big difference between comparing the Dolphins and 49ers is this. The Dolphins are only 1 year removed from 3 consecutive double-digit win seasons and have one of the top defenses in the NFL. They have had a long history of giving Brady fits. Plus, despite their record they have played very well the past month or so- losing some very winnable games late. Since Bates took over for Wanny they have been very compeditive.

Plus, the Dolphins do have a long history of pulling out big MNF games when the chips are down. (Remember Marino derailing the Bears 20 years ago?)

The 49ers, with maybe the Browns are the worst talented teams in the league. The Bears come close in matching offensive ineptitude. Add in all the injuries and they are hard pressed to beat anyone (other than the Cards).

The Bills could start Losman, Burns, Reed, Aiken, and Neufeld and still win this one. It might be ugly, 16-6 or some score like that, but there is no way barring a defensive melt down that the 49ers pull it out.

I hate to sound optimistic but I don't see us losing this one. I think they could even start JP. I know they won't. I had a bad feeling about Cincinnati and we took a dump on them. I think we're safe.

If the Bills take SanFran lightly they could lose but they won't. The D will win this game by themselves if they have to

The Bills have proven this year that they won't take bad opponents lightly.

The point is that "on any given Sunday" any team in the NFL can beat any other team in the NFL. I'm sure Vikings fans were penciling in a victory over Arizona in their last game of 2003. And we remember how that one ended.
