    Spiritual rebirth helps Bills' April weather storm

    This has been a dream season for Bobby April, the Bills' special teams coach. One year after being fired by the St. Louis Rams, he has guided Buffalo's "teams" to one of the finest seasons in NFL history.
    This past week, kickoff return man Terence McGee was voted to the Pro Bowl. You could make a strong case for April as the unsung hero of this remarkable Bills season.

    But as a 28-year veteran, April knows the current season - Christmas season - can be a difficult time for a coach. Coaches work long, impossible hours. The holidays typically intrude during the most critical time of the football year. Going back to his college days, April said it's been more than 20 years since he wasn't preparing for a bowl game or an NFL stretch run at Christmas.
