It's been a miserable season for the 49ers, but as one of their fellow NFL dregs demonstrated last week, it can still be a happy holiday season.
The 49ers can dash the playoff hopes of the rejuvenated Buffalo Bills (8-6) today at Monster Park. But the 49ers' possible joy from crushing the dreams of another team is nothing compared with the prospect of just winning a game.
