Before Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, Bills owner Ralph Wilson played a numbers game with his team.

"I told them our record is 8-6, and that's how old I am, 86," Wilson said. "Now go out and make me 96 (as in 9-6)."

Following Buffalo's 41-7 romp over the 49ers, safety Lawyer Milloy shook hands with the patriarch of the Bills and said, "Next week we'll try to make you 106."

I'd like to get him to 146 in the next 5-6 weeks.

Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
