If a football god offered you a large sum of money, but your team would NEVER win a SuperBowl in your lifetime, would you take it? How much money would it have to be?

silly conversation, people with no bills or money say "No" (a la children or teenagers)... people who live in the real world actually think about it...

before saying HELL NO!

heh, just kidding, i think i'd take a cool 1 bil (after taxes) and forever be content with the fact the Bills will never win the super bowl.

My life's not that bad- sure, I could use more money, but we're doing alright with what we make now. So the answer from me would be a resounding "Hell NO!"

For me, money > sb win.
If I were a player though, I'd probably say sb > money.

I'd do it if he paid off my debts.

Honestly speeking, i wouldn't do it. I'll work my way thru life, but nothing would bring so much joy and emotion and pride then a super bowl title.

I live with roommates, i have car payments, cell phone bill and college bills, i know it's not as much as most people when their older, and i don't have a family yet, but the days leading to the SB would be sick and the week (or 2) after of non stop parting and smiling and enjoying yourself would be priceless, that i wouldn't take money, because no money will bring you memorable moments. I can get the $1 million and still spend it all, lose it, and then have nothing.

Work hard and you'll get thru. Although, i say this now, but when i have wife and kids i would definetly say otherwise i think, because at that point, football for the first time ever would take a 2nd spot in my priority list, and getting $1mil would put great smiles and joy to my wife and kids and as long as they are happy, i'd be happy, so yeah, if i had wife/kids i would take the money, but right now, NO.

I say NO now, and could work hard and study hard and get a nice job, but i would never be able to tell my wife/kids that i gave up a chance at $1 mil. If i'd do it now, they would never know.

On a smiliar note, I told my gf that if our marriage date/birth co-incided with a bills game, id have to miss it due to the game. And I was serious!

I would say no because there would be no greater feeling right now knowing than buffalo winning the SB.

It'd be great for the Bills to win a SuperBowl, but if we're talking about money that I could have, I'd take $500 million after taxes in 20s and 50s with no strings attached, and I'd enjoy watching them lose 10 more SBs in a row. :couch:

Everyone who said they'd take the money- way to act in your own self-interest. I don't want to go through a lifetime of football disappointment so one of you bastards can be rich.

I'd take a few mil and never watch football again. Maybe I'd become one of those snooty F1 fans.

Or there's always the ticats. They have a 1 in 8 chance every year!

No possible way does a football team go ahead of my family, I would take a couple of million over a Super Bowl victory. However, I will tell the family that I am not going out with them so I can watch the Bills.

How could it possibly mean you are a bigger fan if you would take a Super Bowl victory over cash. I say if you take the SB victory you are retarted.

Well, as it is now, no one's been paying me for their superbowl losses, so...

I need ta' get PAID!

What if the deal was that you could take the money, but the team would be sold, moved to LA, and they would never be the Bills again. Would you do it , and would you ever watch them again?

Mr. Miyagi
12-29-2004, 01:29 PM
I'll take the money, a cool $500 million. They can move to Idaho for all I care. And I'd probably still root for them too.
