Watchout for This EBAY Scammer! buys jerseys then signs them himself just to sell em

A finfan over there recieved a jersey from this guy ADELDOG that was supposed to be a marino signature and it looks nothing like any of his other signatures. We have been e-mailing the guy in mass about all of his obviously forged signatures. Just spread the word about him.

Right now Dan Marino's attorney has an e-mail from marino's webmaster about whats going on, we have also contacted the authorities and tracked him down to snowflake arizona.

Please help out, harrass him and spread the word.

Seriously, though...he has over 1000 feedbacks and I didn't see one negative where anyone complained of a forged sig. If he didn't forge it, you can be sued for slander for something that you say online.

        I'd just be careful.

please read this thread. in it is documented where this guy buys a regular, unautographed jersey on ebay and a link is provided where he sells it a week to a month later, all of a sudden autographed.

The person in question who had their jersey forged even had the signatures compared and they are not authentic.

The feedback will be misleading. most people who would bid on this guy's stuff are by no means professionals - they won't know a fake from a real signature. They just get the item and they think its authentic and are happy.

The ones who are more knowledgeable you will see do leave negative feedback.... check out his feedback here: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...serid=adeledog

Not asking anyone to go beat this guy up, just trying to spread the caution.

Alot of people said their jersey smelled like smoke, too.

His replies to the negatives are mildly amusing though.

That is bull. I never buy anything off of E-bay anymore. I used to all the time but after getting scammed a few times, (Nothing major like a jersey) I just said screw it

There's truth to the saying Buffalo is a drinking town with a football problem, where a passionate fan base believes it has more answers than Ken Jennings on "Jeopardy."

Everyone should bid up on his auctions, make him pay huge ebay fees, and don't pay him. Just like what they did to the guy selling Pat Tillman football cards after his death.

Wow!! That guy has probably ripped off hundreds of people with fake stuff.

I hope they take the time to go through the channels to bust the guy.

So a Fin fan got ripped off. And that's a problem because...?

                          ;-p

I've heard rumor of a way that people get money back in situations like this.

If the seller uses a service like PayPal, the buyer can claim they didn't receive an item. Then, the buyer has to verify with the delivery service, but that delivery service may not confirm exact reciept, only that they delivered it.

The 'recipient' files a complaint with the pay service, who then freezes the seller's account while they investigate. Which could take up to six months, during which time no money is available to the seller. Usually, terms of unlocking the seller's account include them refunding the original payment made by the buyer. Who then also keeps their product they ordered, since they can't return something they said they never got.

Just telling you what I heard.

“The Bills: better than the record indicates.”

Hey guys, thanks for the replies

i am more interested in educating everyone out there than stopping this guy's personal sales.

if you read the thread on finheaven (its a long one i know), it details all the events that happened and what is being done to rectify the problem.

The original member who received the forged jersey is taking appropriate action. It was purchased by a mother as a present for her son. Obviously the mother is no sports pro and to her the fact that it said it included a COA sold her on it - obviously most of us know better. To top that off the jersey she received didn't look like the one in the picture!

If you would like a real laugh, check out Adeledog's feedback page.. then look at the tab "feedback left for others"

this guy rapes you in feedback. We have one guy that signed on to our boards just to post what happened to him in dealing with adeledog. Our thread on finheaven got around the internet so fast that past buyers of adeledog's saw the thread and have been registering just to post what happened to them in it!!!! anyway, this guy left positive feedback for adeledog and then complained to him privately in an email about his dissatisfaction with the jersey and shipping... so adeledog left him NEGATIVE feedback! and was rude! unbelievable!

check out the feedback he has left here:

Finheaven members have been emailing this guy in droves and he is responding to everyone, calling them "sheep", writing in all CAPS, and not using punctuation. Some of his emails have been humorous, but all have been extremely un-professional. Check out the original thread on finheaven if you wish to see his emails!

Thanks for looking, and spread the word! (by the way this thread is making its way around the NFL... now on the bengals, patriots, raiders, chargers, broncos, dolphins, football guys, and soon the jets.... if you know of any other sites you frequent, please help spread the word!)

                              cheers!
