C from LSU. I still think Trey is the REAL problem on this O-line.

I think Wilkerson could be a keystone Center in the NFL. I think we can get him in round 2 as his stock fell a bit this season.

He would be a great pick-up, but I don't think he will slide down that far to us.

You may be right about Teague - and perhaps he would be better at tackle - but the coaching staff seems to really like him at center.

Wilkerson will be available at our pick in rd 2

One fear I have is that we may see them get a center and move Teague to LT or RT as they are paying him that type of money. I am not sure he would be the man out there either.

Why did he slip?

Why did he slip?

Ben Wilkerson is my all-time favorite Tiger. He's the most fierly O-lineman i've seen at LSU since Mawae. His stock slipped a little because he ended his senior season with a knee injury(Sounds like a perfect fit in Buffalo). He's a dominant as they come, and is quick enough to snap and pull outside. We will see how things look as we get closer to April, but he just might slide down to our 2nd round pick.

How serious is the knee injury?

Knee Injury....sounds like a perfect fit for the Buffalo Bills. If we do get this guy we will have to find a new nickname for this offense: wilkerson, evans, and willis...."the kneecap offense" :funny:

In the Draft all I want is...

Another wide receiver. Our failures on offense, or more specifically Drew Bledsoe's failures on offense, can only be attributed to the lack of quality wide-outs.

All jokes aside...

We sure as hell do need a kicker.

2nd - OL, our biggest problem this season should be addressed first, or else a WR if someone like Mike Williams happens to be still available.

3rd - OL

4th - K or OL depending on what we do in the 2nd round

5th - QB, someone to help push JP along, maybe give him some competition, could be JPs backup for years to come. Also an insurance threat incase JP sucks.

6th - DB

7th - TE or whoever best is left

I think we have alot of choices on who we draft this coming year. Naturally, it will also depend on what free agents we acquire, but I see it going as something like this:

1st none (assuming we don't create a package with Henry which Donahue just might do if he wants a specific person)
2nd - OL or best available
3rd - OL, K or best available
4th - DB, FS or best available
5th - best available
6th - best available
7th - best available

We have depth at alot of positions. For defense, S...with Vincent shifting over, we should be fine there although we could draft for backup/depth. CB, we should probably draft someone tall. Our CBs always seem to be short and at a disadvantage. If we lose Pat Williams, we may need to draft a DT unless we get a good free agent. That's it for Defense. Kelsay stepped up this past year, and Denney is a good backup, so I think we are fine for DE.

For offense, we have enough running backs, I feel we have enough WR also - Aiken appears to be coming on his own finally. Reed appears like he'll have to settle for backup. We could draft another if they are a good pick for the spot. OL is our strongest need though. TEs should be fine assuming we get back Campbell and Euhus. Peters is also a good candidate to use as OL/TE and confuse defenses with him. He seemed to get better as the season went this past year. I predict him becoming a good quality player.

So, for the most part, besides the OL, we are okay and can take best available. This is the ideal situation we want. So that we can concentrate on getting playmakers vs filling gaping holes.

Maybe I"m being overly optimistic, but I think next year should be a great year for us!

If (when?) Henry goes, I think that hurts our depth at RB quite a bit. I also think we'll pick up a vet receiver through FA.

On some value boards, Wilkerson rates a third rounder, right about where Buffalo would pick in the third round. The center from Oklahoma, whose name I forget, is ranked by some a little ahead of Wilkerson.

I LOVE THE GUY FROM AUBURN- CAMPBELL..6-5 WITHA RIFLE.

JP IS 6-0 AND LOOKS PUERTO RICAN. BAD COMBO. HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO SEE OVER MIKE WILLIAMS?
