Romeo Crennel is being considered for both the Cleveland and San Francisco. Let’s see the genius replace both his offensive and defensive coordinator.

I don’t even care if they win it all again this year! The dismantling is in fool effect. Now we need a team to throw a boatload of money at Scott Pioli and get him out of there. After that, it’s the other 31 GM’s job, especially the other 3 AFCE GM’s to start cherry picking players off the roster!

We finished 9-3! It’d be a damn shame to go 11-5 next year but have to play as a wild card because the Patriots won 14 games for the 3rd straight year! We need to do are part in dismantling this team! Which is why I say we throw a boatload of cash at Adam Viniteri!

A good kicker can easily give a team 2 wins!

I wouldn't have a problem with Viniteri, he a dam fine kicker. I don't think TD is ever gonna pay a kicker more than a million a year though. That seems to be as much as he's willing to pay. Im sure Viniteri probably makes much more than that already but Im not positive. Lemme look, brb.

I would rather have Sam rip Tom Bradys head off. They only way to dismantle the Pats is to chop off its evil head.

Well that could be a problem. I'd hate to go 11-5 next year, go in as a Wild Card because Lindell cost us two games and in the divisional game he costs us a third!

People are not going to love signing a kicker for big bucks but grabbing AV has a 2-fold impact on the Bills. One, it makes us stronger, two it weakens our biggest threat to a division title. Plus seeing as how Kicker is one of the weakest positions on our team, it makes nothing but Perfect sense to me.

Only because they're in Drew's Head!

JP should Start both NE games. No doubt!

You know what's funny? I believe Vinatieri's worst stats are against Buffalo.

I no cap specialist or anything, not even close. But I did some poking around and it looks like Lindells salary is about 764,000. The only figures I could find on AV had him at just about 2.5.

According to a Miguel, a Pats capologist, Vinatieri got a base of $1.425 mil...add in his prorated signing bonus of $675,000 and he was $2.1M against their cap in 2004...he is a UFA this year. He signed a 3 year $5.75M deal after the 2001 season (a NE SB win) when NE franchised him.

Lindell got $4.3 for 4 years after 2002.

I can predict what will happen. We cut Lindell and throw a boatload of cash at AV. AV's career starts to decline. The pats pick up Lindell at a bargain price and he turns into a perenial all-pro.

Things change very fast in the NFL. The Pats could easily be 8-8 next season.

Didn't Oakland take Janikowski with their 1st?

Funny thing was "Sea-Bass" wasn't even that great in college - he was AMAZING on kickoffs but so-so in FG's. Gramatica, also drafted that year I believe (and fairly highly for a kicker) was the FG accuracy king (remember "automatica"?)

brady and bill will still be there. mangini will take over the defense(he has done great with that patch work db situation),and im sure mangini has learned all he needs to under bill and romeo. and a off-coordinator probably will be intrinsic also who has learned under weiss.(weiss said he is taking nobody from n.e over to nd.). they will not miss a beat, and the bills will still most likely languish and continue to receive beatings from the brady bunch, and thats just the way it is,and the way its going to be for quite a few years.

Didn't expect anything else from Pats fans! It's all cyclical baby and your time on top is running out! Just a matter of time before New England is once again that terrible franchise that was stuck on the bottom of the AFC East forever!

You can tell that they are already distracted by Weis leaving. If they face any adversity at all this year, they'll crumble.

It's just a matter of time. If I were a pats fan I'd be scared. Brady's starting to do stupid things, coaches are leaving. They're playing second fiddle to Pittsburgh adn they can't stay at home for the playoffs. Not to mention the fact that Payton is pissed and he's coming to town!

"All good things must come to an end." - English Proverb.

That end is closer than you think my friend. Hopefully you fully enjoyed those SB wins because if you look back at history, the odds of you going back and winning again anytime soon are rare indeed. Get ready for some basement dwelling very soon.

Step two in the dismantling of the Pats for THIS season. Lose BOTH starting corners to IR.

Are you giving up on this season? No smack, serious question. Do you think you guys can win.

I don't see how we beat Manning with Law on IR. Maybe I'm just being pessi mistic. Having injuries is one thing. Having a disproportionate number to ONE critical position is another.

I think we can beat the Colts. Their offensive machine will not be as effective outdoor at Gillette, and our offense can definitely score points on their D. Against Pitt, it will be much tougher, but I still have faith.

Yes they can. But it did get harder. Losing Law leaves them very thin in the secondary and limits their options. They likely will play less man and more zone.

That said, they still have more talent than in 2001, and all the other pieces are still in place. Plus, unlike 2001, they have one of the NFL's most potent offenses (#7 in the NFL in yardage, #4 in scoring).

As for the coaching staff, it is no doubt that replacing their coordinators could lead to a transition, but they have in-house candidates. It isn't like anyone will be implementing a new offense, Mangini will take over the defense and Davidson on offense. Belichick will still be there, along with Brady.

Also, Adam V is going nowhere. If they had to, they would franchise him again, just like they did in 2001. However, reports are they are very close to reaching a contract extension with him.
