Even though our defense had an outstanding year..

One of their biggest shortcomings was stopping 3rd and 4th down conversions...especially the longer ones that SHOULD have been stopped. It really hurt us at times.

knocking down a ball on 4th down...stopping Jax on 4th down three times...holding the lead against the Jets...stopping a 3rd and 4th string RB from shredding the team...

    lots of failure...

You HAD to say something, didn't you, Eb? You KNOW what's going to come flooding in here soon, don't you?
Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!
And someone else said "Never mind!"

You mean the incessant ritualized beating of the fossilized horse?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

How many times do we have to hear about that play?

Not nearly as often as we have to hear from certain quarters about a much despised QB.

If Bledsoe doesn't hits a wide open Shelton in the flat we win opening day.
If Bledsoe doesn't take a sack on first down with about a minute left, we have time to drive downfield.
You're right, I am a coward! I haven't any courage at all. I even scare myself.

Let's not forget that last game at Foxboro. Our defense was pathetic. It never fails, when we've played any of the "good" teams we clearly get outcoached.
