Eden Prairie. Minn. (AP) Fox Sports turned down Vikings owner Red McCombs' request to remove play-by-play announcer Joe Buck from Sunday's game at Philadelphia over his criticism of Randy Moss.

After Moss caught a touchdown pass in last weekend's win at Green Bay, the wide receiver celebrated by pretending to pull down his pants and moon Packers fans. Buck immediately called it a "disgusting act."

I despise Joe Buck. Not because of the Moss incident. I hated him before that.

Typical douchebag benefiting from his father's success. Welcome to America...

Maybe if Moss would act his age instead of a POS, Buck (or anybody) wouldn't feel the need to make those comments

Instead of pulling Buck from the broadcast Moss should just Moon him :moon:

I agree. I had no idea what that was about until they said it later. Imagine what the little kids in the audience thought, whether they knew why or not?
He did act like a two year old when he did that, and I don't blame Buck for voicing his (opinion). :cynic:

Buck has no problem grandstanding with "Leon" in the Bud commercials. Personally, I find that offensive.

Its called entertainment. Its pretty simple, if you don't like it, turn the game off. I had no problem with it and I think stuff like that just adds to the rivalries. Much like when Bryan Cox came out and flipped the bird at all the Bills fans when he was introduced.

Funny...I was well entertained when Thurman, Andre, Beebe, Lofton, McKellar, Metzelaars and the like were scoring TDs without acting like idiots.

I think it's horrible. The whole country is going to hell because Randy Moss pretended to show his bum.

Oh the humanity.

So now Andre Reed is a symbol of class on the field. The guy was probably one of the biggest jerks to play the game. Good player, but he was a real jerk both on and off the field. And what a prime example he set for the kiddies watching when he took off his helmet and slammed it to the ground during the SB against Washington.

great player actually, and he wasn't perfect, true...but he's 10X better than Moss could ever hope to be.

I find it funny this Moss thing is still raging on :D

What I also find funny is how every commercial break in an NFL game contains an advertisment for "Boner" enhancement pills aka Levitra and nobody finds that offensive. Yet a guy pretending to moon the GB fans who have literally mooned him for several years is disgusting.

How strange :laughter:

He did that 'cause the Redskins were repeatedly hitting him before the ball got there. No calls from the officials though. I would have been frustrated too.

Good point...when Andre acted up, it was because of pathetic officiating or unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the opponents...When Moss does it, it's just because he feels like being a POS :idunno: and Moss does it 10X worse anyway

Sorry man, but this isn't the early nineties anymore, you just can't compare teams from two different eras, the players grew up in totally different circumstances back then (limited cable tv, no internet, etc etc)...In my opinion if you don't want a little flair with your football, maybe today's NFL is not for you. I don't see it changing anytime soon.

I LOVE Andre Reed and think he was a great player....but to say that he is 10 times better than Moss could ever hope to be is ignorant. In some ways Andre was better (feerless across the middle where Moss shrinks from contact), but Moss is a great one too... It will be interesting to see how his numbers stack up against other greats later in his career. He will have to mature at some point, right? If he ever gets himself completely focused on the game, it will be scary.
