Why should we keep Drew around for next season? What exactly has he done that deserves $8 mil and a starting spot on the roster that JP or another journeyman QB couldn't do?

What's the point of another Bledsoe thread?

We all know it's gonna be another 20 post flame-war.

He dosen't make 8 mil....4 mil is his cap number, but it is still unjustified. Dreadsoe=Medioricity at best

I want solid reasons he should start. Come on Drew Crew...step up and give reasons. This is your chance to defend your guy. The JP crowd has had their say.

What say you?

OK...then start something else that people will be interested in because I'm sure not going to ask to you for permission to post threads. Find a topic that is relavent or shut up if you don't like what I post.

Then start a thread that everybody can participate in.

And BTW....your list out of 5 pages is nothing. That is barely 2 posts per 25. Hardly an overwhelming number.

Would you rather we talk about the color of the uniforms or maybe the kind of shoes they wear?

the Bills take a "cap hit" on DB no matter what they do...it is all "savings" from 2004 that are "charged" against 2005...minimum he can count against the 2005 cap would be if they cut him after 6/1 - $3.216M...but he would still count against the 2006 cap...if they cut him loose before 3/1 they could save a couple of 100K as compared to him being on the roster in 2005 (he would still count more than $4M against the cap)...depending on bonuses and stuff...then he would not count against 2006.

Who really cares if we have Matthews, Losman, and Brown or Zolman in camp. What does Drew bring to the table besides experience? His best days are behind him. If Losman isn't ready to start by opening day, then give the ball to Matthews. He didn't exactly stink up the place when he played.

Tom Donahoe said the Bills are not willing to step backward to go forward. I think if Drew is gone (which I want) they are probably not gonna win 9 games in 2005. Im sure we are looking at 6-10 0r 7-9 somewhere in that area.

JP has to go through his 1st NFL season and for most young QB's that is a sometimes painfull process. Given the Bills schedule for next season I don't see many gimme games on deck.

It has to happen though in order for the Bills to go forward. DB is not the answer for this team at QB.

As much as I wanted him to succeed he has not. At some point you gotta cut the string and move on.

Cinci went 8-8 with thier 1st year QB. Why can't we do a couple games better? We have a much better D and special teams

Why throw a rookie QB who didnt' even get a full year to learn the offense phyiscally into a solid team around him that could go very far. Bledsoe did not lose every game for us this year. He wasn't on defense on the last play against Jacksonville, and he didnt run the ball on the goal line at Oakland.

True, i have a feeling JP is gonna struggle some though. He has that attitude of cockiness that is gonna...well...

Lets just say that JP is gonna do alot of things Jp's way untill he see's for himself they are not gonna work. So I duducted a couple wins for that.

I by no means make a lot of money. I got a paycheck that was comparable to most kids coming out of college. My employeer didn't say, "lets see if kevin has what it takes. let's pay him this decent size paycheck and have him learn." I was thrown into it. and if i didn't get it, on to the next graduate.

Why are these tough guys of football such babies. I am learning as I go in a boring industry. If I was asked to learn on the job with millions of dollars coming, and I am studying my favorite sport ever. i'm going to get it. I'll get it because people thought highly enough of me to be a first round pick. So strap on and send JP out. If you coddle him, of course he'll come out like a todd collins or rob johnson. Throw him out there and tell him he's a playmaker and the only hope, i bet he responds. He seems to have that mentality.

There better be a damn good out clause if Drew s**ts the bed this year or I will personally picket OBD for TD's resignation. :flex: Some good stuff in this thread. :snicker:

I guess I need to start making my signs and plan that trip to OBD. :;
