    Dolphins' rookie McMichael gets pompoms

Miami Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt handed out several game balls and a set of pompoms Monday.

The pompoms went to rookie tight end Randy McMichael for dancing with the Dolphins cheerleaders during a timeout in Sunday's 30-3 win over the San Diego Chargers.

"It won't happen again. He understands that," Wannstedt said.

It WAS funny! He wasn't doing that after a 5 yd gain.......he was doing that during a TV timeout.

I know that is part of why it was so funny. It was like he was up on angel dust or something....LOL. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in sports to see a player go over to the cheerleaders during a TV timeout and start dancing with them. They better test him for drugs.

It was funny... and a little silly... but ya know what? I think it's pretty cool that the kid loosened up like that, sort of reminded me of something out of the movie The Replacements...
