I Just think its Obvious There will be a deal seeing they moved the meeting to toronto and about half the teams including vancouver and atlanta have already invested in New sticks.. Jerseys, Ice Sheets .. Logos etc...

the only reason the owners would want a season is so that there is a draft...they have no other reason to start the game...with Crosby out there they don't want to start a bidding war or trend of how much rookies get...

...that being said if there is a season the Sabres should tank it and get Crosby...
