i know its still early, but i have heard MANY of you(including myself) say that our playoff hopes are all but dashed...so its time to look at my favorite part of the year...Draft Time!!!!

Venis2k1's Draft day 2003 preview!!!!

Its no secret that the bills draft will be a Defensive one. Here are my top prospects for the bills first pick (mid second) in the 2003 draft.

DT----

Jarret Johnson -Alabama- great DT, great pass rush, good run stuffer, i expect he will go mid to late first round :(

William Joseph -Miami (Fla.)-One of college football's most impressive defensive players, a little light (listed at 282 at one place 297 on teams offical page) this might cause him to fall to the mid second round. great pick up if he is still there.

Ty Warren -Texas A&M-another high pick, if he falls he would be a steal, however that is a BIG if. hard worker (reported to school as a freshman at 400lbs!!! is down to 315, strong legs and a good motor)

Jimmy Kennedy -Penn State- two words, quick and strong. played some DE, another long shot, but this guy is worth trading up for.

Langston Moore -South Carolina- ehhhhhh this guy is a gamble, has lacked the killer instinct that i would hope for.

Kenny King - Alabama-28 career starts, lots of experiance, lacks size but is very fast. not the best run stuffer.

Colin Cole -Iowa- what can i say, i'm in love. He has a wrestling background. Fires off the line like hes got a rocket up his butt. many people have him listed as a late 2nd round pick. meet your new Mr. Buffalo Bill.

If there are that many big men in the draft it will be great. We might try to make a player trade (JR for a second rounder or something) and grab a couple. We will sign at least one, probably two, top tier LBs/DTs in FA.

FA DT's look pretty thin(again) this year, and hands down the best LB FA this year is Takeo Spikes. I would kill to bring Spikes into Buffalo.
