I like him. I think he is a good coach. Should he get the boot, I wouldn't mind bringing him to Buffalo.

Still drunk from Sunday BF1? Fassel has been spotty at best.

He went to the Super Bowl a few years back. Look at the list of players he lost this season.

He just doesn't inspire confidence when I watch him.

Maybe he's worn out in NY and a change would do him good.

I don't know. I could be stretching. Who else might or will be available?

Someone mentioned in another thread that Mariucci's contract expires at the end of the season and that he and GM Donahoe (Terry) don't get along too well.

To early to tell who shakes out.

Who knew this time last year Dungy, Gruden, Spurrier, etc would surface.

If you take a look at Fassel's team every year, they seem to overachieve every year. They werent a Super Bowl quality team when they went and they aren't a playoff contender caliber team now. He gets the most out of them IMO. I think their is much more overall talent on the Bills than the Giants.

IDK, but I kind of see an underachieving offense each season out of fassel's Giants. We need a coach who's gonna get some production out of this "on-paper all-star" offense. Fassel hasn't shown by any stretch that he's the guy for that.

Until our D becomes awesome, which ain't happenin' between now and next season, offense is gonna have to be our strength and identity.

in all fairness....this talent you speak of on the Giants offense...their offensive line on paper coming into the season looked horrible. Average at best QB, average WRs, great TE, and a good all around-back. I think he is getting about all he can squeeze out of that talent IMO.

then again...to be honest, I havent seen the Giants play this year....

I bet Marty Mouringsickness will be available. He would fit right in here.

About the Giants offense, they look damn good to me. Their problem is Kerry Collins, who one minute plays like one of the best QBs in the league and the next plays like Ray Lucas on a bad day. If I was going to attack Fassel I would have to attack his persistence with Collins. However, previous to this season I would have to support sticking with him so who knows.

On the other hand, NFC east football will not translate well into the AFC East so he would have to have a completely different system to be successful with our offense.

i've always liked Fassel. not sure if he's a great coach, but he definitely overachieves.

overacheives? oh.. you must be referring to his offense that should have finished dead last, but managed to stay in mid twenties every year he was there. :D
