Watching the Pittsburgh Steelers advance to the brink of the Super Bowl with rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was encouraging to see for Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson.

His team currently is pondering a switch in 2005 from veteran Drew Bledsoe to last year's first-round pick, J.P. Losman. Wilson made it clear on Monday that he's eager to see Losman play....more (http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050125/SPORTS03/501250330/1007/SPORTS)

Does the Bell toll for Bledsoe?

"Despite having the NFL's No. 2-ranked defense that led the league in takeaways and playing great special teams, Buffalo still finished 9-7 and out of the playoffs with Bledsoe. "

That tells the whole story...it's a "team" game...LMAO.

This is for Cynical...:snicker:

Wilson also said he was extremely pleased with the job coach Mike Mularkey did in his first season and said extending Donahoe's contract this off-season will not "be a major problem.

"I can't guess today what people are going to do," Wilson said. "Drew's had a tremendous career. We'll see."
Past tense, exactly. Brilliant man, Mr. Wilson is! I think we'll see him donning a sombrero in the coming days! Muahahahaha!

The should have doubled thier takaways, been the #1 D by 100 yards a game, and played even better on special teams. Then they could have overcome the QB play

We led the league in takeaways?

Hm.

Even a greater reason for why Drew should be cut.

Actually, "Drew's had" is short for Drew HAS had. That's present participle. :nerd:

Negged. :jk:

Thanks for the correction.

It still sounds like they want to move on...

I really hope they get rid of Drew soon. I won't be able to handle 700 JP vs Drew threads if they anounce there will be an open competition. :puke:

It looks like the entire front office are turning into amigos. They don't want Drew to leave, they just want him to hold the clipboard for the rook!

Bledsoe AND Ralphy...he wants to see a winner before he starts pushing daisys.

Just the fact that they're even discussing it speaks volumes.

Drew has been given more than enough opportunity to step up to the plate and hasn't delivered...time to cut him and our losses and move on. I wouldn't even want him around to hold a clipboard, he would probably fumble it over to the opposing team.:loser:

Drew will be on the roster when the season starts. He will probably be starting for the simple fact that someone else will run into JP and hurt him.

Dear Church,

If he fumbles the clipboard, it's not entirely his fault. You'll have to blame the OL too. It's a team game.

Sincerely,

"He's got a great arm, he's mobile, but will he make the right decisions?" Wilson said. "We've had a couple guys with great arms in the past, but along with that is his decision-making. Yet another indirect reference to Drew. :D

Good news indeed. :mex:

No one from the Bills is defending Drew this offeseason. I'm cautiously optimistic they are leaning to starting Losman.
