Bucs Reportedly Not High On Bills RB Henry

Disgruntled Buffalo Bills RB Travis Henry remains confident he'll work out a trade to another team this winter, but his chances of landing in Tampa Bay might be slim.
Though Bucs coach Jon Gruden has expressed interest in the Frostproof High product, two NFL team executives told the Tribune this week the Bucs are among teams shying away from Henry.

They should get their numbers right!

Henry didn't fumble while touching the ball 104 times this season, but he had five fumbles during the 2001 season, 11 in 2002 and seven in 2003.

Henry also ran for more than 1,300 yards during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

      Henry isn't a Gruden-type back.

Henry will be a Cardinal before the draft.

I think you are right, I knew this this week about Henry, they are really high on the Caddilac WIlliams from Auburn. When ever Jon Gruden talks about him, it sounds like he wants to hump him!!!!!!

What numbers did they get wrong? Looks like they are pretty accurate to me.

"He's a nice player, but he puts the ball on the ground a lot,'' one NFC team executive said. ``I don't think he was too bad last year, but his history in the league says he gives it up a lot.''
This says it all IMO. He is a solid back, but since he is not a gamebreaker not many teams will take a chance on his negatives (e.g., fumbles), especially with a 2nd rounder as the asking price. This sucks, since I think this may force TD into a 3rd rounder if he can't move TH soon.

It appears a lot of Bills fans have a higher opinion of TH than most NFL people do

This could also be a Buc tactic to drive Henry's value down. I'm willing to bet they would suddnely overlook the "fumbling problem" if he was now being traded for just a low 3rd or high 4th round draft pick.
