One position in free agency that has been mentioned

is Tight End.

I am not trying to knock Mark Campbell, but there are quite a few out there (like Bubba Franks) that would be an upgrade. Also keep in mind that Campbell ripped up his knee about 2 months ago. There is no telling if he will be ready to play again in 2005 or whether he will be back to his top form. On top of that, Euhus has a knee injury also. Tight End is definitely worth a serious look in the 2005 offseason IMO.

with mularkey being a former TE.. i am not worried about the position.. campbell played great this year.. and euhus showed promise too.. if they are not capable though, they will be replaced.. i am not concerned in the least though if we have the same TE lineup going into next season.

The problem: neither Campbell or Euhus may be ready until after the season starts. They may both start the season on PUP. We need a better option than Neufeld.

Freddie Jones from AZ or Marcus Pollard from IND (when he's cut) could be a decent signings.... they're both older, but would help the passing game...
