Not that I would mind him going to the NFC but how does this make sense? THey already have a very crowded backfield.....

I Wonder what the Vikes would be willing or able to give up for Henry in a trade? I've heard things about Moss leaving Minny as well... ??? Anyone?

I know for sure they wouldn't give up Moss for Henry...But, who knows they might like Moulds....Maybe Henry and Moulds for Moss? Still doubt it but who knows. :idunno:

I'd run like hell from that. I'd take Birk from them

I doubt Moss would be involved but maybe they will give us a 3rd and one of their RB's. I would take any of the 3(bennett,Moore, or Smith) to be a solid backup to Willis.

Why in the world would Minnesota do this?

Moss is more trouble than he's worth. He deserves anything bad that happens to him.

He isn't that mcuh trouble really,. I mean when he messes up, he really does but he is the best WR in the NFL hands down.

Moss will go to a team like the Raiders or Dolphins where he will fit right in. We don't want him or need him

No idea. Why are they interested in Henry in the first place?

if minnesota is interested in henry, they'd have to trade a few RBs.

I wonder if they want Henry's lower salary (But Bennet , Smith & Moore are on their first contractrs)

Onterro Smith faced suspensions for off field activity - maybe they don't want him. Bennett has been a dissapointment considering his draft status. Mewelde Moore isn't anything to write home about.

There has to be a reason why 3 supposed "good backs" can't claim a definative starting role.

Another reason is that they might package him or some of the other RBs to another team.

I could see a straight up deal for a Bennett or Smith for Henry. Gives us a good backup and gives them a cheap 1400 yard back

We may as well keep Henry ourselves.

What about Moore and J. Wiggins (TE) ? Since we are apparently worried about our TE roster now that 2 are out and may not be ready by start of training camp. Wiggins has looked good as of late...

Yep, I'll trade Henry for Smith and a late rounder right now....He is a darn good back.

Also I could see some kind of a package of Henry and Reed for Smith and Wiggens....now that would be a nice trade imo.

Even though he was injured, I like Jim "The Flying Saucer" Kleinsasser. Not sure if he'd be involved in any trades, but I do like him, as far as Vikings go...

Lol, Henry for one of em' straight up? Maybe they add a 5th rounder.

I turned Smith, Bennet, and Kleinsasser into pro bowlers in Madden 05! I like these guys.

I'm telling you guys, run the team like you do in Madden and watch the success. See what Belichick does?

Moulds, Henry and draft choice(s) for Moss.

I'd do that.

There has to be a reason why 3 supposed "good backs" can't claim a definative starting role.

The reasons are well known:

Smith was a pothead in college (got kicked off the team at one point because of it) and a 3-time offender of the NFL substance abuse policy. The next time Smith gets caught (which seems fairly inevitable), he is suspended a full season.

Bennett is very talented, but has been brittle. He can't stay healthy. He has great talent, and probably the best long-speed of any back in the NFL, but he is as injury-prone as they come.

Moore is fast, elusive and catches the ball very well. However, he isn't real big. He has the makings of a very good 3rd down back, but he isn't ever going to carry the load. He is a little better than a Travis Minor, but he isn't a guy who is going to fill in if McGahee goes down.

The Vikings needs someone who can carry the load, someone more dependable than what they have now. They have guys with talent, but none are guys you can depend on. I could see the Vikings being interested in Henry because they run so many spread sets. Henry is a good fit for a team that runs a 3-WR offense, like Minnesota or Arizona. Historically, Henry has always been more effective running out of those sets than he has been running in base sets with 2-or-less WR.

I also remember in Tecmo Bowl one season I had Bruce Smith get 95 sacks in one season.....Maybe if Marv had run the team better, Bruce could have lived up to his tecmo bowl potential...

I had 116 with Bryce Paup 1 season.

See, this seems more realistic than Henry for McMichael if you ask me. There have been rumors that Minny is going to unload Bennet elsewhere so maybe they are looking to unload more than one? Perhaps they trade Moore and a late 2006 pick to you guys for Henry? They then unload Bennett to say, Arizona for a 3rd or 4th rounder and voila, it seems to help everyone. Minnesota has Henry/Smith, Buffalo has Willis/Moore and an extra pick and Arizona has a starting caliber back in Bennett with Emmitt/Hambrick backing him up, helping to keep him healthy. I think that would be a very fair transaction if it went down.

......or when they feel like playing? No way I want a guy that admits he does not try sometimes. People see all the big plays he makes. What they don't see are the games that could have been won if he decided to try. I would never want that jerk on the Bills.
