More good news for the Patriots....

Referee Terry McAulay has been named to head the seven-man crew of game officials selected to work Super Bowl XXXIX at Alltel Stadium.

The rest of the officiating crew will consist of Carl Paganelli (umpire), Gary Slaughter (head linesman), Mark Steinkerchner (line judge), Rick Patterson (side judge) and Tony Steratore (back judge). The crew collectively has 65 years of NFL officiating experience, including four Super Bowls and 44 other postseason.

This is the first Super Bowl assignment for McAulay, who is concluding his seventh season as an NFL game official. McAulay refereed two Eagles games this season, a 30-13 win over the Lions in Week 3 and a 27-6 win over the Giants in Week 12.

McAuley is the guy who threw the flag on Henry Jones on the Hail Mary play in Foxboro in 98 If anyone was interfered with it was Thomas Smith!!!

Question: wasn't he the "just give it to them" ref?

He was on that crew, but he was on the other side of the field for that call. Walt (65) Coleman was the referee that day.

Face it, the game is over before it even starts.

                        I HATE THE PATS.

Terry McBelichick is good for at least 3 points to Patriots.

There was a lot of bad calls and non-calls all game long. Some helped the Eagles, but more helped the Patriots.
