I did a quick study on Ricky’s numbers in the cold weather. Over the past 3 seasons, I could only find 4 games in which the weather would have been cold. The 3 games this season were all played at nite in cold weather cities so I’m assuming it was not warm. The numbers don’t look so good. This is a guy who played college ball in Texas, New Orleans in a dome and Miami. He doesn’t have much experience in the cold weather.

2001
20-49 yards at Den October 13
14-47 yards at GB November 4
20-53 yards at NYJ November 10

2000
15-56 yards at NE November 25

Problem is there are too many young kids on B-lo that have not experienced this crap yet either.

refer to my post in the other weather thread. Those dudes live here. ricky is kicking around in shorts and sandles today. Our boys are bundled up freezing their a$$es off. It'll make a difference.

Living in a cold climate, you can get accustomed in about 5 or 6 days. Coming from Florida to Canada or Blo will destroy the players. The natural reaction to the deep cold is to stay warm and avoid being in the wind, but avoiding it will mean you don't adapt.

maybe it'll be cold enough that his dreads freeze up and he has a hard time putting on his helmet.

Ok,
1. First off the games were in 2002, not 2001...
2. Denver has the BEST run D in the league, I don't care if it's -30 degress out, no one runs on them. Miami still won...
3. In the Green Bay game the Williams had a whopping 14 attempts! Then Miami fell behind and gave up on the run.
4. I was AT the Jets game, and it wasn't cold at all, it was about 65-70 degrees.
There goes your Ricky is cold theory!

So then please explain what the heck happened to him that day. It was warm and he still stunk up the joint? :laughter:

I was at the Jets game where he got 53 yards. It was unseasonably warm that night, it was in the 60s for the whole entire game. It was very far from being cold.

I said, and I quote, "The 3 games this season were all played at nite in cold weather cities so I’m assuming it was not warm." So I happened to be wrong on one. But it shows that your boy has very little experiance running in the cold. And damn it's going to be cold.

Well, I hope the game is a good one, and I hope you lose. I guess tomorrow will show us what effect the weather has on the Miami players.

See ya after the game.
