All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This is only a test
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
hey I just got back from the St. John's-Rochester game and I got about 55 photos, 33 of which are either good or good enough, lookin at them gave me the idea for the thread.... post some personal photos that u have of either a game itself, or of you with a player, here are some of mine from 2nite...
yup, some pretty good seats... Milley, Roy, Miller
yea the Amerks are coming back again in April I can't wait, in related news...
Sean McMorrow is truley the greatest player in the world (as a person that is, he's also entertaining to watch), I've met tons of pro hockey players and NONE have ever been as nice as McMorrow, he's soft spoken, very pronounced and very kind. I went to the practice on the 8th and he just said to me while leaving the ice, "hey buddy", not a big deal but maybe he remembered me from last year when I briefly talked with him a few times, the night after the game I waited around to get some pictures with the players (which included pics with paille, miller and mcmorrow, all signed the day after) he was walking up the stairs and I just asked if I could get a photo with him, he immediately hung up his cell and whoever he was calling and said "sure no problem bud", he shook mine and my brothers hand then, we said thanks and he thanked us, asked if we were coming to the game tomorrow, and said cya later and that was that, ok now that wasnt anything big or anything...
but i went to the practice the day after too, at this point all the rochester players seemed to know me as they seen me at practices and sitting right next to them at the game, and all of them said whats up and hows it going and just made small talk as they walked out, when Sean was leaving this time I asked him to sign the photo i had taken with him the night before as well as a glossy photo of him I printed off of him fighting with Brett Clouthier from when he was in the OHL, he of course said no problem and signed both, we started talking for a bit too and he was like "oh I faught with Clouts last week in Albany" and we were just there talking for a bit about hockey and stuff, definently cool talking about hockey with a pro hockey player, anyway he asked where I was gunna be sitting at the game tonight and i told/showed him that I was itting right behind the glass, right next to the walkway where they come out and go in, he said cool and "cya at the game" and whatever,
this is where he came off as a really really cool guy who can really show why he is a fan favorite, game night, the Amerks start walking out of the dressing room, when McMorrow came out he made sure he stopped for a second, hit his gloves on the bar's right next to me to acknowlege me and say "whats up buddy", see that stuff is f'in cool to me, also when leaving after each period i'd give him a pat on the back and try to say something encouraging lol, and when he came out we just hit fists and once again i'd encourage ...
anyway the game ended in a shootout with for st. john's unfortunently but it was a WICKED game and McMorrow kicked Perrots ass 2 nights in a row, including Perrot getting kicked out that night for not having his fight strap on, funny actually after Sean's reaction to the ref lol... Sean also had a WICKED scoring chance when he was on his stomach on the ice sure but Racine made a good save, McMorrow once again banged his fist on the bars after the game was over to aknowlege me...
anyway thats my long ass story, i don't know if it sounds gay/childish/stupid, or whatever, but man I'll always be greatful for showing so much respect towards a fan like i havent seen any other player ever do, and he's gunna be my favorite AHLer for a long time coming, hopefully a future NHLer, him being a Sabre is just the icing on the cake :)
also in more related news, out of all the teams and players I've met, the Rochester Americans/Buffalo Sabres have been no doubt the nicest, all of them, from Mika Noronen at the AHL All-Star game talking with me one on one about hockey (and how much Bob Essensa sucked :p lol) to these past 2 days, everyone was nice, Sean McMorrow, Milan Bartovic talking with me about some charity thing they were doing with signing sticks for this kid who got his neck sliced with a skate, Ryan Miller signing a bunch of auto's and getting lots of pics, [although really he wasnt great about it all and you could really tell he didnt like any of it], Norm Milley talking with us about half being from Newfoundland, Dan Paille getting pictues with me, all of the guys making small talk at the practice, [Pominville, Roy, Askey, Thorburn, McMorrow, Milley, Bartovic, Paille, Houda, Cunneyworth] it was cool that my fav team was down witht he real fans too.
anyway here are some more photos: Second Night, Amazing Seats, Awesome Game...
