Drew is a Hall of Famer. I would hope that even you amigos wish him the best in making the hall or even if he goes on to play for another team....outside our division of course.

Johnny Unitas 1956-1973
Norm Van Brocklin 1949-1960
Bob Waterfield 1945-1952
Steve Young 1985-1999

Current/recent QBs likely to make it: Favre, Manning, Brady, Aikman.

Look at how exclusive that list is. To run up big career numbers by mere longevity is not enough. You have to be a championship-caliber QB, one who is consistently among the best in the league. Drew has been neither. He's had three big years (four if you count 1994, when he threw 27 INTs) -- that's a quarter of his career. Zero titles where he was the starter. His career rating is 76.6.

He's comparable to Dave Krieg or Warren Moon or Boomer Esiason. When you consider that they aren't in (nor SB winners Jim Plunkett, Joe Theismann, Ken Stabler, Phil Simms), Drew cannot touch the HOF.

While I'm on the fence as far as whether or not he'll deserve to be inducted, you willing to wager on that?

Say, through an incredibly unlikely chain of events, Bledsoe starts for the Bills this year and ends up leading them to a SB victory. Will he qualify as a HOFer then? He'll have better numbers than the other SB champs who didn't qualify and a ring, which Marino, Kelly and some of the other inductees don't have.

I don't want to debate the likelihood of this actually happening- that subject's been beaten to death. I simply want to know if you think winning an SB this coming season, combined with his big numbers, would qualify Drew for the Hall.

Absolutely but you'll never have to pay off because you could keep saying................."he could get in next year"

I don't see how Bledsoe is a hall of famer....he probably deserves to be considered, but there are too many other QBs out there who are much better. He is not elite.

The main reason his career numbers are so high is that the guy just doesn't get injured. How many games has he missed besides his last year in NE? Any qb that plays for 11 full seasons would have solid career numbers even if he is just average.

IF, however, through some quirk of fate, he makes a huge comeback for two more years, has great seasons and becomes a force in the playoffs, I think he would have a better chance.

Thats not the only answer though early in Drews career he was throwing the ball 45+ time every single game. He is a rare breed of QB, he is a dying breed besides Peyton Manning I cant think of one QB who has to throw the ball as much as drew has.

Drew is like a basketball player that shoots the ball 50 times a game...

Sure the player that takes 50 fg attempts in a game is probably going to average 30+pts a game (if he makes about 1/3 of his attempts), but should he be a HOF just because he puts up so many points?

Looking at the ppg of that player you'd assume he was a really good player, but in reality he was nothing more than average at best.....

But its not a feat every QB could handle, or basketball player. Thats what makes him a canidate.

Every QB could not throw the ball 50x a game?

It's quite a leap from "not every player could do it" to the HOF elite.

Your telling me you couldnt taken any average shooting player in the league, and have him take 50 shots a game?

Im prepared to take the 46 hitactually, it's only 23, I believe. A neg only counts for half the power a person has

Absolutely but you'll never have to pay off because you could keep saying................."he could get in next year"You have a point...I think he could possibly get in, but I think first ballot is a long shot at best
