are you people nuts? Why would Jerome Bettis leave Pitt to play in Buffalo? He'll be a Steeler til the day he retires, which will probably be Monday after the Pro Bowl.

He is on the block and i bet he would be a viable option as a backup to willis in 05. I would think buffalo would be a wise option given our potential to be a contender next year.

ESPN is going to do a quick segment. They said that Bettis' future in Pitts is uncertain. It'll be on after commercials...

Donahoe, Mularkey, Clements... Bettis.

Don't you all remember that Shaud Williams was awesome as a second back?

I'd take Williams over Bettis any day.

I don't think Bettis has that much left in the tank. Besides I was very impressed with Williams last season. Will he continue to play like that, who knows, but he's a lot cheaper than Bettis, and he has many more years left in him.

Bettis had a bills hat on in an interview on NFL live about what he will do next season... prolly just wearing it cuz he is friends with sam adams or TKO or something but it just seemed odd...

I wouldn't read too much into any of this stuff. Nor, if there really is mutual interest between Bettis and the Bills, would I pay too much for a Bus with that many miles. He's bound to throw a rod or burn a piston fairly soon. And I don't think he'll come with a warranty.

Shaud doesnt offer enough diversity, him and Willis are similar backs. Also if McGahee went down your confident Williams can carry the load? Bring in the Bus if hes affordable. He will be a great presence in the locker room.

Correct...but you didn't have to say it...I was having a ball laughing at everyone thinking it meant something more. :laughter: TGOJK and I both said earlier in the thread it meant nothing but people want to read extra into everything rather than think things through. :idunno:

Havent you guys ever seen NFL players outside in the public. They are fans just like us.....They have there teams they rout for also, remember most of them grew up in cities outside of there NFL team and thats the team they deep down rout for...
