3yrs approx. $18 million

2005: $1.5 million salary, $2 million previous amortization, $1,666,666 new amortization. Cap hit: $5,166,666

2006: ? million salary, $2 million previous amortization, $1,666,666 new amortization

2007: ? million salary, $1,666,667 new amortization

Preliminary.....hopefully more details soon. Salary from 2006 & 2007 is approx. $9 million

Old deal:

2005: $5.5 million salary, $2 million amort., $1 million reporting/roster bonus, $100,000 workout bonus, $175,000 LTBE Pro Bowl bonus Cap hit: $8.775 million

2006: $6.089 million salary, $2 million amort., $1 million reporting/roster bonus, $100,000 workout bonus, $200,000 NLTBE Pro Bowl bonus Cap hit: $9.189 million



At this point, cap savings from 2005 is $8,775,000 - $5,166,666 = $3,609,334

from 2006: unknown until salaries become available on nflpa.org

You gotta love Eric. He is loyal to the Bills and willing to make his compensation work with the salary cap. While he seems to have developed a small case of the "dropsies," he should still be a key contributor for a few more years.

ONLY a 1 year extension? Damn that sucks. I was hoping they'd lock him up for the rest of his career. :(

He'll be 31 once the season starts. Add 3 and he'll be a 34 y/o UFA. Possible that the Bills address his deal after 2006 again.

Good call........AT 34 he shouldnt be getting $5 million a year
