All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
According to Sports reporter Jeff Russo ( who works for John Murphy ) , TD called DB to tell him of the Losman plans and DB wasn't pleased. Refused to accept the backup job and salary reduction. Said the discusssion became " heated " .
Was just on the Sunday night local news. DB basically cut himself for another shot somewhere else.
I can't believe Drew would be that stupid. If he were playing well, he would have a case- but how can he think this team will continue to let Losman fester on the bench while he puts up mediocre numbers and we keep ending the year with mediocre records?
I guess it's not easy to accept that his time has come.
I have to wonder about that one as well. The one major fault I feel Donahoe has is a lack of tact...he alienated more than a few players the way we handled it when the team cut them in 2001..Christie, Jones, Holocek
holecek.. havent heard that name in a while.. what happened to him?
after a season in San Diego, he spent a season in Atlanta and was put on IR 1/7/03 with a broken arm...that's the last thing I see on him.
It's a shame how his career ended up. When he came out of Illinois to play in Buffalo, he was known as 'Nitschke'...he was called that because his play in college reminded everyone of the Packer great
TD: "You f***ing piece of crap. I traded a #1 for you and paid you over $21M and you've played like ass. You've made me look like a fool after the GW debaucle."
Drew: "But Tom, it wasn't my fault."
TD: "Oh yeah, right. It was the oline, the drops, the weather, the cost of a Big Mac and the 0.03C temperature drop in the polar ice cap. Give me a break. You suck."
Drew: "But Tom, it's my team."
TD: "The only thing that is yours is the official plane ticket back to your f***ing ranch. Just make sure you don't stand at the gate too long and miss your flight. I know how you are under pressure."
