he's expirenced at starting, plus he would make a solid back up for losman if he goes down .to me he is like a frank reich type.but the bills could be very interested, and may take a pounch at him. :xtreme:
Didn't the Browns just cut Jeff Garcia loose? Are they getting rid of Holcomb as well?

Not much difference between Holcomb and Matthews
If we are interested in Holcomb then we might as well try and re-sign Matthews. At least Matthews already knows the coaches, and the playbook/system.
i'd like Holcomb as a backup he had some HUGE games in the past like that one 58-48 Browns Bengals game. Kelly posted 30-39-413 5 TD's and 2 Ints. I still dont get how he lost :idunno:

What? Garcia was cut outright. Don't see a restructure anywhere on the horizon.

Whats this crap about getting Holcomb? Are you nuts? We would be better to keep Mathews and bring back Travis Brown.

i rather keep matthews,but..i just saying if we did get him he would be a great back up if we could not re-sign matthews.

He led the Browns to the playoffs that one yr. when Couch was injured but they lost in the first round in the playoffs to Pittsburgh. The guy is good

Problem is... Matthews is seriously considering retirement, or at least he said he would after this year is over.

Keep Matthews he will be way cheaper then anyone else we could bring in and he already knows the system..
The browns are trying to resign holcomb and matthews is looking at retiring....
I say neither will be the backup ...Look for the steelers to cut maddox .. they have cap issues....
