Out of the available QB's, who do you LEAST want as our back-up?

    1. Rich Gannon- the guy is older than dirt
    2. Vinny Testaverde (assuming Dallas signs Bledsoe and cuts him)- he's just as old as Gannon and completely overrated.
    3. Kordell Stewart- the guy's Doug Flutie minus a brain.

I think our best bets are Fiedler, Garcia or Holcomb. None of these guys thrill me, but they're all decent back ups.

I have no idea who he even is. Out of all the crap QB's being mentioned, he's the only one that I know nothing about. I don't even know who he played for.

Backup for DET mobile and stupid
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
            It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Edit-I don't know what the hell that was about. When I quoted you, it said something about Theisman being a donkey-raping **** eater.

Why don't we put together a deal for Eric Crouch? He still wants to be a QB...

McMahon is a very good prospect. He was a fan favorite in Detroit.. many wished for him to get an extended chance to steal the job away from Harrington. He has very quick feet and can scramble out of the pocket and make things happen on his own. I do not really see him being a starting QB in the league for a long amount of time as he is sorta "flutie-like" in that once teams get a grasp of what he is doing they can shut him down with game planning and with use of a spy. He would be able to come in and steal a couple of games for you though (just not for an extended period).

I don't want any of them. I want Flutie.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think Holcomb is still young enough that he'll want to go to a team where he has a chance of landing the starting job.

I'm in favor of that move. Losman is the same kind of mold as Flutie, except for the arm. He could show Losman how to scramble around in the pocket and make some nice plays.
