IMO he will be a good back up. One of the things he needs to get into his head is he is not starter material. Until that happens, he will never be comfortable with himself.

He's a WCO guy. I don't see him as a $2million or under backup.

He's a west coast guy who failed in SF and Cleveland!

IMO, he would take just about any gig at this point!

Why would he come here instead of going to Detroit or TB where he could compete for the starting job ?

Detroit (Mariucci, QB at crossroads) is the logical destination for Garcia

Good point. Does Detroit run the WCO?

I'm pretty sure they do... Not positive...

Syeve Mariucci is the coach. Brett Farve's and Steve young's former QB coach, 49er head coach while Garcia was there. He's as West Coast offense as any coach out there.

Garcia is rumoured to Tampa and Detroit as a starter (if griese won't renegotiate in Tampa that is)... I think Detroit is very obvious as well.

Tampa is heading toward starting Simms eventually

Garcia would have been my first choice, but I would be shocked if he chose b-lo over detroit or tampa. In all likelyhood, Detroit would be the best situation for me. They already run a version of the WCO offense.
