He is by far the best announcer now and that there ever was. He adds comments from his own experience without being cocky. He is also well prepared. He corrected Gumbel a few times about some minor stats - again without sounding pretentious.

Simms is good, and he is not affraid of giving the Bills props. He recognized the cosmic signifigance of the blizzard that hit the Fish in the 4th quarter.

I liked Dennis Miller, I also like Paul Maguire, I really hate Simms and I happen to think he does sound cocky when he corrects Gumble.

Phil Simms is annoying, Hes always trying to be funny by putting down Gumbel. He may be better than average, but hereing him dog out his partner all game gets annoying. Theismann in the three man team hes in now is the best. Not alone, but as a group.
