How much playing time will JP get in preseason?

On one hand, you don't want to risk injury to your starter and the coaches will probably want to evaluate whatever POS Cleveland or Detroit reject we sign as a back up. On the other hand, JP needs every second of experience he can get, and it wouldn't be bad for him to boost his confidence by running up the score on some scrubs.

What do you guys think should/will happen in July and August?

Actually, game 3 is when he'd play the most. That's the general trend..give the starters the most work in your next to last preseason game

Yeah I agree with most of you, I think he'll probably play around a half every game (though this is depending on who is playing backup).

They actually may play him more than we think. But they might run more riskier plays when he would normally be out there. (in the first half) They may play him in the second half just to get him more acustomed to running some basic handoffs and designed screens. Plays that SHOULDN'T get him killed.

If the coaching staff is smart.. which I feel they are... he'll get a ton.

Two quarters until last game, then single quarter. MM is very excited about Lossman, his abilities and his intelligence. Considering what MM was able to accomplish last season I am excited too.
