Coach John Fox expects the Carolina Panthers will be without rookie defensive end Julius Peppers for the rest of the season.
Peppers' appeal of a four-game suspension handed down by the league last month is to be heard Tuesday in New York. But the coach doesn't think Peppers has much of a chance.
"I would say there is minimal chance that (he'll win), but stranger things have happened," Fox said.
Peppers was suspended Nov. 14 for using a banned substance. If the suspension is upheld, it will be a huge blow for the Panthers' sixth-ranked defense.
