    L.J. Shelton visits Bills

    From ESPN

A possible Henry for Shelton swap? He would come real cheap ($3M per season).

Average from what I've heard of.

I have faith that Mouse could get him playing beyond his potential, though.

          I like shelton a lot
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I have read that he has been a huge underachiever.

Why ? Because he only dates girls over 18 ?

Trade Henry for him now !

Would be a great trade! We give up zero picks for a tackle at or slightly above Jennings' level, and for dirt cheap!

DO it TD! This would be good. Now work on Marco Rivera or some other Center/Guard...

That would be a nice trade. Pick up a center through FA, Draft two lineman in the second and third. Williams - Rookie - FA - Villarial - Shelton. That has alot of potential.
Buy land in AK now. In ten years due to global warming, it will be the new tropical paradise, minus the tropics

I like the idea. IMO, we need to get an OL first and foremost. The only thing is that I'm not familiar with Shelton, but he was a first round pick in 99 (not that that guarantees anything of course, but still)

I'd like to see what Shelton could do under the tutelage of McNally, also.

Even up for Henry sounds fair to me.

LJ Shelton has always had the potential but never lived up to his hype. I personally love this deal as he is a run blocker all the way. Good size, strength, and speed. Also can play G. Henry for Shelton sounds good to me.

I can dig it. Mcnally can probably bring out the best from him.

He is real big and has talent. The downside on him is he has a rap against him of being lazy. He has struggled to keep his weight in check. He likes to come into camp out of shape and work his way into condition. That is what got him into Denny Green's doghouse.

That said, he is big and has talent. Granted, guys who lack motivation and attitude generally don't change for long, but the upside is real high. He is locked up for $3M per for the next 4 years if he is traded (since the Cards eat the bonus). That is real short money for a starting OT if he is any good. If motivated, he is a steal. If not, he is a bust.
