Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club had released DE Vonnie Holliday...Weren't we in the running for signing hijm 2 years ago?? Couldn't he help our depth at d-line?

Didn't he have 4-5 sacks against us in 2003? That made his numbers look way better than they normally would have been.

Did he? i dont remember...too long ago. He's an expierenced presence on the d-line for depth, not saying he should start or anything.

he had 5 sacks against us on the day his father died.. he ate bledsoes ass all day. jonas jennings and mike williams both got twisted into pretzels. that was when he was with green bay.. that game got him over the 10 sack mark which helped him get his huge deal with the chiefs.

he has been nothing more than average with them.

I really don't think we need a DE. Shobel and Kelsay will lock that position down for a few years.

Really. I think we have pretty solid DE's. Schobel is becoming a tackling machine for a DE, and Kelsay stepped it up last year.

I really do not see anything sad about our DE's and their contribution to our kickass D

We have enough guys who can tackle players... what we need out of these guys is a pass rush and an ability to make a big play, which they've failed to do. That is the piece missing from this defense being just "kickass" as oppossed to "dominating"... that's also a big reason Schobel got a huge deal last year.

I like Kelsay as a starter. He'll only get better.

I agree we need more of a pass rush

I remember people screaming at TD for not signing this guy.
