Is OT Vaughn Parker any good?

Does anyone know if Vaughn Parker is any good? He is an OT that was released by Washington. He battled injuries most of last year and didn't get to play much. But if he's decent, since he's looking for a job, might he be available for backup and cheap? I guess anything is better than Putrid-lo!

He might be ok for a back up OT

BTW: He's Buffalo born and raised

I think he played for the Chargers for many years.

I'm just wondering if he would be a good candidate to be a backup. As it stands, we just have Price (assuming they resign him) for backup OT and Smith for backup G. We are likely to get an O-lineman in the 2nd or 3rd pick of the draft, but we probably want linemen with experience also as backup. Parker may be contemplating retirement since he's been hurt lately so much though.

The bills pursued him last season but he signed with the skins instead......

The high taxes scared him away......

He's been injured the past couple of years and is going to be 34. He is rated slightly ahead of Marcus Price by the Bills Report FA Tracker, but we would be much better off to simply re-sign MP - a reliable backup who knows our system. McFarland could be ready to challenge for an OT spot this year, too.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
