Read it at the cbs.sportsline.com message boards. Could be bogus. Anyone else heard about this? If it's true, they got a good back with blazing speed. However, he's an injury waiting to happen.
Word has it that Minnesota has shipped RB Michael Bennet to Miami for a 1st rounder

It would have to be Miami's #1 in 2006......no way they would give up #2 overall
The other possibility, if true, is that they've reached an agreement to swap spots in rd 1 now that Minnesota has the Raiders #7 overall. I would think it would take more to move from #7 to #2
None of this can happen until March 2nd anyhoo.....even if true (not likely)

The 2 for 7 combo is the only likely possibility here. Bennett is not worth a 1st rounder otherwise. Maybe a 3rd.... he is dead weight on the Vikings teams know that and he cant play 3 games without getting hurt.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I think the Titans will take him at #6....Norm Chow was his college coach and they just dumped Mason, mark my words that the Titans will take Mike Wiliiams, NO DOUBT
But, I would not like to see Bennett in Miami, sure he gets injured a lot but he is one of the fastest backs in the league and would make them a lot better immediately.

lol.....no way that happens. If they are going to give up a 1st for a RB it would be for Edge or Alexander. Much like with Ricky they will give big to get big. But not for a INJURY PRONE RB that really only has speed.
I think there is more of a chance for:
1) Surtain ~ K.C. (Pick & Larry Johnson)
2) Surtain & 3rd ~ Colts (Edge)
or Miami just trades Surtain for a Good 2nd or Late 1st. Then packages up a deal for Edge or Alexander.
Miami will have another good RB next season. But if the do not IMPROVE the OL they will need a MAJOR POWER BACK like Ricky. Otherwise the RB will be on IR by week 3.
