Please go and get him. I don't care that our corner situation isn't bad, you just don't let this guy go. He is still one of the top, top D-BACKS in the league.

Beware of Belichick bearing gifts.

No thanks. If we're not giving Williams 5M/year, then Law isn't worth going after.

Best bet is he'll end up in Minnesota.

If Law is healthy, then he still is a top player. He has another 2-3 years at CB, then I think he will be able to make a transition to S and play at a good level.

I wish Ty well, he was a good guy and a good Patriot.

I think you're exactly right about Minny. I read somewhere that after the Moss trade, it will leave them about $35-40 million under the cap. (Sorry no link).
With those kind of $$$, Minnesota can shop around as they please in FA.

We won't get him nor do we need him.

Let's hope Law doesn't sign a megabuck deal. Then we can use his contract as a basis to lock up Clements.

I think he was on OTR a while back, maybe he was checking out the argooooooos.lol

I'd love him... make McGee the #3 for another year or 2 and put him at thte nickel (also giving us excellent depth)..

but I'm willing to bet money he goes to Dallas. They want a top CB to play opposite Newman who had a rough year and needs some pressure lifted off him. plus the whole Parcells thing. (not to mention 20 mill in cap space.)

I bet he goes to Minnesota since they are like a gajillion bucks under the cap. That would be a pretty decent secondary with Law and Winfield.

Ty Law is Awesome but he is not at a need position right now. We have more pressing issues right now. If we can address them and still have a chance at him then Great.

Me too, he is the best CB in the NFL, he could prolly play 3rd WR too with his hands, and considering we have Reed there.

Law is a great player and all but he still doesn't guarantee a playoff spot for the Bills - unless he can play at a pro bowl level at the QB position.

We don't really need Law. We already have a solid group of CBs. We need to spend more on other positions that need severe upgrades.

I'd love to have him but we couldn't afford him. I'd rather save that money for a younger Clements.

Marvelous

The last part of this post bothers me. We are not set at CB and What are the chances of re signing Clements anyways? slim? he will want the #1 cb contact. Bet on that.
We are not set with Thomas and Mcgee as #2 & slot. I think we need CB help but TY has the postons so $$$

McGee would start on at least half the teams in the league - especially next year with a year under his belt.

just think, If we could sign him, we wouldn't need to resign fat pat... Don't get me wrong, I want to bring Pat Williams back but this is a great opportunity. Just imagine, Clements, Law, Vincent and Milloy as an opening day Defensive back field?

It doesn't matter how good your d-backfield is if the front seven can't stop the run and put pressure on the QB. Big Pat is a much bigger priority than CB right now.

I'd be surprised if Law signs with someone anytime soon. He is coming of surgery to repair his foot injury, which was a Lis Franc fracture. He can't even run for another couple months. He isn't even scheduled to put weight on his foot until mid-March. Right now he is completely off it, which is why he was tooling around the Super Bowl in a scooter.

I wouldn't be surprised if he weren't signed by another team until June, when he can work out again and show he is healthy.

we already had a passing D that was at the top of the league. We still have Vincent. I'd rather go after a Stud DE than a cb.

Agree. While I would like to see a Lay-Milloy combo out there, you could also have Prime Time, Ronnie Lott and Woodson all in their prime back there and it wouldn't mean anything as long as we don't change our scheme. Continue to have the corners lay off WR's 5 yards or only rush 4 and get no pressure on the QB and we'll get burned this year – again.

We don't need him. Our D was ranked #2 overall and #3 against the pass. We need to focus on the oline first and foremost.

Exactly why we don't need Ty Law
