Unlike the AFC and its model of "parity", the NFC is anything but. It already appears that all 6 NFC playoff teams are already set barring something very unusual. It appears that Philly, G.B., T.B., Atlanta, N.O., and S.F. are all in for the most part.
In the NFC, there are is only 1 .500 team in the Giants, 3 x 3-9 teams, 3 x 4-8 teams, and 2 x 5-7 teams.
In the AFC, there are 5 .500 teams and another 6 that are a game or less off .500 for 11 of the conference's 16 teams. 8-4 is the conference's best record and only 3 teams possess that record. In the NFC, 6 teams are 8-4 or better.
