    Williams playing catch-up

Mike Williams is like the prodigal nephew. It wasn't his idea to take on the National Football League's policy of underclassmen not being draft-eligible until three years after their high school graduation.

But when a court ruled last year that Ohio State wayward son Maurice Clarett could be eligible for the 2004 draft, Williams, then a sophomore wide receiver at the University of Southern California, decided to leave school as well.

After the NFL won an appeal of the ruling, Williams was left with no pass, no play from both the NFL and the NCAA.

He decided to run today and ran a 4.61 and 4.59 forty, basically what people expected. He's not a speed demon, but don't be fooled by that...I still believe he will be a very productive NFL wideout.
