I do- I thought Muckler was crazy for trading Mogilny for unknowns like Mike Peca.

It tiurned out to be a darn good trade for the Sabres, didn't it?

Well, the Peca trade to the Islanders was a similar deal. Unfortunately, the negotiations with Peca had broken down to an irreconcilable situation. Regier, despite his probable complicity in causing the situation, made a trade for great potential talent in return, including a top-5 draft pick, Tim Connolly.

In the short run, the Sabres lose- and it's still the short term. In the long run, the Sabres' upside is HUGE on this deal, if Connolly approaches his potential.

We gave Rob Johnson 4 years to hang himself in Buffalo, why not give Connolly the same time to see what he turns into before chucking him? This team isn't going anywhere right now anyways.

I agree...why throw this guy out right now? I agree with your other post where you say Lindy doesn't know how to develop young players. MAybe we should get someone in here who knows how to motivate and teach young players such as Connolly.

It really does come down to coaching...and ours has been bad for awhile.

I def. agree, i really have confidence in a guy like Tim Connolly. He's a good play maker...give him time he will be good..trading Connolly will only hurt the sabres in the long run.
