This guy is a touchdown machine. I'd like to sign him to a cap friendly 2 year deal.

I think he's 32 or something...lost a lot of speed in the last season..

I'd love to see him sign a 2 year, 4 million dollar deal with the Bills. With Cambell and Euhus' serious knee injuries, who knows when they'll be able to play again.

Hence the "2 year cap friendly deal"

We have McGahee, Evans and Moulds to get us inside the 20 yard line. The guy catches TD passes though.

He had 6 TD's in 13 games last year with all the other options to choose from. I'd take that from our TE position.

1 in every 8 balls he's caught in his career have been for TD's.

But remember he's had some dude named Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. I've heard that Manning guy is pretty good. You think JP can get him the ball?

Also, out of 263 career receptions, 161 of them have been for first downs.

196 of his 263 career catches have been for either a first down or a TD.

I'd really like to see him here, and neufeld is a fa so it opens up a TE spot on our team

With a target as big as Pollard, JP should have no problem finding him. A nice big, reliable TE with great hands is EXACTLY what a young QB like JP needs.

A catch is a catch. He had to get open to catch the ball. It doesn't matter who it came from.

If JP couldn't get him the ball then it wouldn't matter who we have as a TE.

What's our other options? We have no idea what's gonna happen with Cambell or Euhus.

I'd rather focus our draft on other areas then worrying about a TE. A late round pick isn't gonna match Pollard's production.

This is my highest contract proposal I could live with(give or take)

3 years, 6 million and a 1.8 million dollar bonus

2005- 800k salary + 600k bonus= 1.4 million
2006- 1.4 million salary + 600k bonus= 2 million
2007- 2 million salary + 600k bonus = 2.6 million

Cut him after 2006 with only a 600k cap hit if needed.

I think he would be just the safety net that JP could use. He is superb in the "red zone" that's where we really need help.

With two years on the team he'd be guranteed 4 million dollars.

Is he a run blocker?

Mr. Miyagi
03-02-2005, 09:57 PM
No, he's more of a receiving TE. He blocks okay but nothing spectacular.

Pollard isn't a great run blocker, but he is a real good receiver. He is one of those power-forward types with big hands and jumping ability. He can split out wide and has the speed to run seam routes.

I think he would be a real good fit, a big upgrade at TE for the Bills.

He was catching TD's long before this season.

I'm always cautious to sign a guy who has been on a team with so many offensive weapons. I wouldn't be against signing Pollard because of Euhus and Campbells uncertainty but I wouldn't go nuts for him.

this is the guy we need in our offense. if defenses have to respect the middle of the field it will only open everything up for moulds and evans.

THIS TOO ME IS A PERFECT FIT DO IT TD!!!!!
