Still interested in Shelton and Vincent to start on the left side

Would still love to add both LJ SHelton for Travis Henry for our LT position and sign F/A Keydrick Vincent to play the LG position. Having Gandy in here to rotate ala Price will be a luxury!
Any word on the visits by TE Anthony Becht from the JETS? He could be a nice fill-in until our crippled are ready to resume.

    That would be sweet!

    I wouldn't mind re-signing Price either.

      I'd love that line!

LJ Shelton, Keydrick Vincent, Ross Tucker (cut Teague), Chris Villarrial, Mike Williams

Depth: Mike Gandy, Marcus Price, Dylan McFarland, Rookie Guard/Center

Although Tucker has the size to be a Center, McNally has already mentioned that he is too slow for the position. And that would limit some of the calls they might make...

And why cut Teague? He's not that bad - even at Center. I still think he will be much better playing LT of LG.

Tucker looked pretty damn good at Center last year when he came in for Teague. I don't want to cut Teague, but if it saves us money and Tucker is better...go for it.

Cut Teague? why? The guy has given a 1/2 sack total the last 2 years. Only 6 penalties total the last 2 years as well.

He's a center! Centers dont give up many sacks in the NFL.

Not to compare because they're not even close but Teague gave up less sacks and penalties then Mawae, Birk, Kreutz, & Bentley the last 2 seasons. It shows alot. It doesn't show the run blocking but it does show the pass blocking and penalties. Thats 2/4 of the job of a center that is shown in STATS. The other 2 (run blocking and snaps) aren't shown.

Teague still has tremendous value to this team. If there were severe injury problems on the line (like if 2 starters were lost for the year) he could play almost anywhere on the line. Not great, but adequate.

Did you guys not see all the penetration teams got up the middle? Do you not remember McGahee getting hit before the line every run up the middle? WM would get his 100 yds but have 6 runs for neg yards all up the middle. He got his yards on the outside. Do you not remember the poor shotgun snaps?

Teague is good depth. I wouldn't cut him because lineman get hurt all the time. But moving him to starting LT is foolish. He's too vulnerable to the bullrush.

Is there controversy on an O-line if the starting center gets moved to OG to make room for a rookie?
