Who do you believe realistically will be available for our 2nd and 3rd rds that we might choose for O-linemen? If you don't believe we will use both for an O-lineman pick, just choose 2nd only or 3rd only...

2nd Rd: Chris Spencer - C
3rd Rd: Wesley Britt - OT
Unless Barron, Brown, or Terry are there in the 2nd round I wouldn't take a tackle in the 3rd. We already have a bunch of projects for the o-line we don't need another 1 (Britt). I like Spencer alot and I think he would be very good at LG for us.

I'd like to get Terry- if he's still there- at #2, maybe Incognito-C on Day 2. We will need to spend a day 1 Pick on a decent CB as Clements insurance, or if a good DT slips to us, I'd grab one of those.

....but it all depends on what we grab in free agency before the draft

I like Khalif Barnes. No way he lasts to our pick, though.

Personally, I'd rather use FA to fill the line needs. The linemen in this draft flat-out suck compared to other years.

Last year was a brutal year for linemen. Most of them went in rds 6-7 or undrafted, where a lot of draft boards had the same guys going in rds 3-6.

Personally, I'd like:

2nd Rd: Chris Spencer - C
3rd Rd: Wesley Britt - OTI would say that #4 through #15 will be left in the second round for OT and the same for OG. #3 and on for Centers. I would grab Wilkerson or Terry with the second round pick. Probably Terry first as we need LT help immediately. CB with third round pick, then O-line help with 4th rounder.

Depending on what they do in free agency and with T.Henry, I would pretty much agree with this. Spencer or Wilkerson would allow Teague to move over to LT. Grabbing Munoz would be really interesting because Coach McNally was his father's O-line coach in Cincinnatti and they probably know one another already.

Spencer. Get TT out of there. He is not good enough to start at C if we are to truly improve the line.

I think the Bills would work with anyone from Khalif Barnes to Wesley Britt on that list of tackles and turn him into a passable starting left tackle. Barron and Brown will both be gone, as will some from Barnes to Britt. A couple of them will be left though. I think Parquet will still be around as will Colmer because of health questions.

I don't see the Bills drafting a guard after the signing of Mike Gandy. They wont draft a center in round two, but might in round three or four. Any of the top seven could probably eventually start. If the Bills can deal with the temper, Incognito sounds as if he has great upside and could be a bargain a bit later in the draft.

Because he's given up less sacks and penalties then Birk, Kreutz, Bentley and Mawae in the last 2 years or just because the perception is that he su(ks?

Just curious, do you have stat links for the assertions you made about him vs. the other centers? Also funny that you threw Kreutz in there...their offense was dead last in the league. I could have beaten his stat line. :snicker:

I mean I can understand that because he was so bad at LT that the perception is that he is bad at center. Its awfully tough to watch a center on TV unless your either tivo'ng it or watching game film from sky vision so I mean I really don't think all the people (not saying you) that have said that TT is average can really evaluate him in a fair way. Its kind of like OJ Simpson.. after a while he actually started believing that he didn't kill his wife. After a while you just start believing it if it said enough.

I'd figure I throw Kreutz in there because of his "probowl status" and that he is 1 of the best centers in the league.

I'm not trying to point you out specifically because I've seen you post and you seem like a very intelligent poster but I just felt like nobody is giving Teague credit for being a good center.

I would like to draft Spencer because of his versatility. He can play the guard positions and center. I love that about Tucker and Teague that if worse comes to work they can play the 2 guard positions and center position.

Centers are the lowest paid and lowest drafted position on the line for a reason- It requires less physical skills/talent to be adequate at that position.

Remember everyone drooling over Jeff Faine- taken one spot ahead of McGahee? Cleveland is thinking of cutting the guy- or at least demoting him.

Teague isn't that bad- he draws attention because of occasional bad shotgun snaps/mishaps when he had the "spry" Bledsoe back there.

Teague is valuable because if the OL gets hit hard with Injury, you could plug him in almost anywhere. You pay him a little more so you don't have to carry another OL backup talking a roster spot.

You really hit the nail on the head dozer...I have seen teague be a very valuable player on this team because of his flexibility...not he's not a great showman but he does do a decent job.

I mean I can understand that because he was so bad at LT that the perception is that he is bad at center. If you read my recent posts, I don't say he is bad. I say he is average. He has gotten better than he was a year or two ago, but by no means is he a standout C. Average at best IMO.

I'd figure I throw Kreutz in there because of his "probowl status" and that he is 1 of the best centers in the league.Interesting that he made the probowl yet had 11 penalties for 75 yards, 8 false starts and allowed 1.5 sacks. You used the fact that TT had fewer penalties/sacks as the basis of calling him good, yet Kreutz made the probowl with all those penalties. Thus in this case I don't see how your use of those stats prove much.

I agree as well. That's why I think we should draft a stud C and keep him around as a floater.

As I've said in previous posts he is good at 2 of the 4 things that you need a center to do. He doesn't give up sacks and he doesn't make penalties. There is still run blocking and snaps. The NFL does not keep stats for those. He is terrible at snaps (or is it Bledsoe?) either way he's not very good. His run blocking is decent but not great.. he pulls well but doesn't always take the right angles to get a clean block. Last year I though McNally did a great job with Teague and Teague really did well run blocking.

i like munoz and cj brooks......Munoz is a left tackle one of the few who will be available after round one and that's only because of injuries..The kid is very sound...Sounds like a mcnally guy...He would be perfect to get and let heal then be ready in year two to start... Brooks can play more than one position ...and is very smart .....i think both will be there in rd 2 but not round three..

Again, this is a question whose answer will depend on what happens between now and the draft. If we land a Demulling, or a Shelton, or both, the answer changes dramatically.

If we do nothing more in free agency, we will need a tackle more than a guard, and if either Terry or Barnes are available to us, I'd take him. Any tackle lower than Terry may be a reach in the second round, so if none of the top 4 is available, we might take a Munoz or Britt in the 3rd round and use our second on a WR or TE.

I've heard Baas talked about highly, but I don't know why. Can you tell me why you like him? Also, he's a Guard, correct? Don't we need OT/C more than Guards?
